Iranians applying for a new passport in Canada must create an electronic file in the Mikhak system (profile), complete the passport application form and upload an image of the required documents, send it online to the Canada Headquarters at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, or visit the office for the Protection of Interests of the Islamic Republic of Iran in person (with the tracking code received from the system). After these steps, they will complete the process and receive their passports.
Verification
One of the steps in applying for a new passport is the verification stage. This stage is mandatory for all applicants. For verification, each applicant must prepare a video as described here and send it via WhatsApp to the Consular Services Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Canada Headquarters (+989108106635).
For verification, stand in front of the camera (as in the picture below) and hold the first page of your original identity card and your current passport in front of the camera and say the following text clearly:
“I [first and last name] am applying for a passport (with a change of residence).”
Then bring the identity card and passport closer to the camera so that the text is legible and hold it for 3 seconds.
Note: If the original identity card is in Iran, a relative must visit the service desk or one of the provincial offices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the original identity card to complete the file.

If the place of residence of married women and children under 18 years of age is recorded in the Iranian passport, it is necessary for the husband or father to visit the Mikhak system in the proxy section to register the consent for the issuance of a passport, exit from the country, and, if desired, change the place of residence with the name of the representative “Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Canada Headquarters”. (Record the recipient’s details in the center). Then contact the WhatsApp number +989108106635 by video call and with identification documents in hand. The tariff for this service (confirming the consent of the husband or father on the Mikhak website) is 20 Euros.
