What is a Travel Document and What Is Its Use for Iranians Residing in Canada?
A travel document is a temporary travel document that allows Iranian citizens residing in Canada who do not have a valid passport for any reason to return to Iran. This document acts as a substitute for a passport and is valid for a single trip to Iran.
Uses of a Travel Document for Iranians Residing in Canada:
- Returning to Iran in Case of Loss or Theft of a Passport: If you have lost your passport or it has been stolen, you can return to Iran by obtaining a travel document.
- Returning to Iran in Case of Passport Expiration: If your passport has expired and it is not possible to renew it in Canada, you can travel to Iran by obtaining a travel document and renew your passport within the country.
- Traveling to Iran for Newborn Children: If your child was born in Canada and you have not yet obtained an Iranian birth certificate and passport for them, you can take them to Iran by obtaining a travel document for your child.
- Traveling to Iran in Emergency Cases: In the event of family emergencies or other emergencies that require urgent travel to Iran and you do not have a valid passport, you can apply for a travel document.
